About Us

It was a long cherished desire of the people of Chullimanoor and the neighbouring villagers to start an English Medium School. In response to the great demand ,the school was inaugurated on 01/06/1999. The founder of the school Rev.Fr.Alphonse Ligori Presided and Sr. Andrea SRA lighted the lamp .At first Chullimanoor Sacred Heart church Jubilee Memorial Hall was used for class rooms. The Parish Council took the leadership to support the School. But later due to financial problems the Parish council has decided to hand over the school to the Diocese of Neyyattinkara. The Bishop of Neyyattinkara Rt. Rev.Dr.Vincent Samuel formed Divya Jyothi Educational and charitable trust. The Bishop Donated land at Thazhnnamala for the construction of school building. The foundation stone was laid on 03-05-2003 by Rev. Fr. Alphonse Ligori. The new school was inaugurated by Bishop His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Samuel on 11-05-2004. The school got affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi in 2005. It was upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 2010.

General Rules

1. Students have to wear the prescribed school uniform.

2. Cleanliness in person and dress should be highly observed. Books should be kept neat and tidy.

3. Valuable ornaments (Gold, Silver, and Diamond) should not be worn in the school.

4. When a student requires leave from the class the parent should apply to the class teacher and permission should be obtained. In the case of emergency or sudden illness the student should bring the leave letter signed by the parent, the next working day.

5. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absences for more than 15 consecutive days will cause the removal of the student’s name from the school register. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee.

6. Every student is responsible for the safe keeping of his/her belonging. The school accepts no responsibility for their loss.

7. Any exchange of article or money transactions between students is forbidden.

8. Monthly tuition fees are to be paid on or before 10 th day of every month.

9. Under no circumstances any fee paid to the school will be refunded.

10. Parents or guardians should check the student’s diary regularly and if possible everyday, and see to it that she/he does the homework properly.

11. Parents are requested to sign the progress report, monthly report etc. when so requested.

12. Parents and guardians are most welcome to school. The staff will be ready to discuss with them the welfare and progress of their children, preferably in their off periods.

13. Parents are encouraged to partake in P.T.A. meeting so as to have a forum to express their opinion about the child’s and the school’s progress and also to hear the school authorities.

14. If there is any infectious disease in your house please report it to the Principal and do not send your child to the class till the danger of the infection is over.

15. All official correspondence from school will be sent only to the local guardian in India.
